       A Canadian citizen; and,

A resident, landowner or tenant of Markham’s Ward 7 (or the spouse of one).

Eligible voters may only vote once, regardless of how many properties they may own or rent in the ward.

A voter information letter is not needed to vote in this by-election, but it helps make the voting process faster and easier. Eligible Ward 7 voters who don’t receive a voter information letter can still vote by visiting a voting place and presenting acceptable ID showing their name and qualifying Ward 7 address. Checking, updating or adding their information ahead of time at ElectionsMarkham.ca/Register will make voting easier.

Even if a voter receives a voter information letter, they are still required to show ID when they go to vote. Here’s a list of IDs that can be used to vote.
